Plushietron's Origin
Plushietron began life in 2017 as a creature I created called a ‘crocomonkeyphant’ and somewhat morphed from there. In 2019 Plushietron got his first official unveiling with Theo & the Super Plushietron which was a self-published hardback book. It was pretty clumsy stuff but I was assured it was endearing and occasionally funny.
Plushietron has persisted though and is much loved in our family. In my rare moments of luxurious daydreaminess, I’ve often wondered how to bring Plushietron to life in a way that is larger. And so, after resigning from a corporate job and reflecting on the ways I most enjoy using my brain, I decided this is one of the ways.
And so, Plushietron & the Jeebies is the version 3.0 of the Plushietron character and I think it’s fair to say, the best yet. He is charming, protective, magical and above all loving and loyal. I hope you see some of those same things too when you read the story.

Hello, I'm Paul
I’ve always pulled words apart, and glued them back together. I've done that from a young age and I never stopped. It's always tickled my brain.
Maybe writing for a young audience is a good natural extension of that. Breaking and reassembling language is close to a child’s learning experience with reading and writing.
I’m a father to 4 and have read more childrens' books than I can remember. With Plushietron, I wanted to write something with lots of fun and magic that could make its way to the greatest hits list in our family (i.e. the books we return to again and again) - and maybe beyond.
